Northeast Indiana Railfan was created to provide a central place for railroad enthusiasts to explore the railroads, railfan locations, museums, historic sites, and resources that make northeastern Indiana and the surrounding region unique.

Whether you’re planning a day of railroad photography, searching for railroad scanner frequencies, researching railroad history, or simply enjoying the hobby from home, this website brings together useful information to help you explore.

Our mission is to make railfanning more accessible to both experienced enthusiasts and newcomers. We provide railroad location guides, maps, railroad information, photography, museum highlights, and resources that help visitors learn more about the region’s railroad heritage.

Railfanning is about more than watching trains. It’s also about understanding railroad operations, documenting history, exploring communities, and preserving memories through photography and video.

Safety and respect for railroad property are important parts of responsible railfanning. Northeast Indiana Railfan encourages visitors to observe trains only from safe, legally accessible locations, obey posted restrictions, and never trespass on railroad property.

As the website continues to develop, additional photographs, location information, historical material, and resources will be added to help make Northeast Indiana Railfan a useful reference for the railfan community.
